Safety at Finding Eve

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Meeting someone new should feel exciting, not risky. Finding Eve is built so that trust comes first: we verify who people are, moderate what happens on the platform, and give you tools to stay in control. This page explains what we do — and what you can do — to keep dating safe.

1. How We Protect the Community

1.1 Selfie and ID Verification

Every account must pass a live selfie check, so the person you're matched with looks like their photos. Members can additionally verify a government ID for an extra layer of identity assurance. Accounts that fail verification don't get to match.

1.2 Human + AI Moderation

Photos and messages are screened by automated moderation systems, and our team reviews flagged content and member reports. Accounts that break our rules are warned, restricted, or removed.

1.3 Blocking and Reporting

You can block or report anyone directly from their profile or your conversation — they won't be told who reported them. We aim to triage every report within 24 hours, and serious safety reports are prioritised ahead of everything else.

1.4 Safety Check-Ins for Dates

When you plan a date through Finding Eve, you can schedule a safety check-in. If you don't confirm you're okay at the agreed time, we prompt you — and make it one tap to reach your emergency contact or local emergency services.

1.5 Anti-Scam Contact Filtering

Scammers try to move conversations off-platform fast. We automatically detect and filter attempts to share contact details and other personal information in early conversations, which slows scammers down and keeps your details private until you choose to share them.

2. Meeting in Person

No tool replaces good judgement. When you take a connection offline:

3. If Something Goes Wrong

Report it in the app — reports go straight to our safety team — or email us at support@findingeve.app. Blocking someone immediately stops all contact between you.

In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first. Finding Eve is not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (for example 911 in the US, 112 in the EU) before doing anything in the app.
